Unabated Sports, 9/13/06
I for one, thought it was a very good, very fun show tonight. For those of you that missed it (hopefully we'll have the mp3 file sooner than last week's show), we had on Paul Keels (the voice of the Buckeyes), Rashad Jeanty of the Bengals, Joey Hudson of Miami (MAC East Defensive Player of the Week), and Will, the founder of Deadspin.com.
Paul Keels came off basically as being just a fountain of football knowledge, very fun to listen to, very knowledgable, and extremely well-spoken. Definitely someone I'd love to have back. Jeanty and Hudson were guys who just obviously love playing the game and were thrilled to be where they are. Both were very down to earth and fun to talk to. Jeanty also is a great story - he left college basically because he needed to help out with things at home (I'm extrapolating - I don't know the real reasons, but got the impression that his family needed the money), played 3 years in the CFL, and is now a contributor with the Bengals. Will from Deadspin sounded like who we expected based on what he writes on the site. Interesting fact, he met a girl in NY who is from Blue Ash and is getting married here in May!
