I'm a dad. I had a son on Wednesday. His name is Shepard. 7lbs, 10 ounces - 19.5 inches. Labor was long and painful, but everything turned out great. Mom and son come home tomorrow.

some dear friends just had their third on friday, and i got to meet and hold her last night. about that size, too.

btw - if you want to give your doctor or rabbi a chuckle (maybe) ask what i asked ours when it comes to the circumcision: "doc/rabbi, when i got my wife her engagement ring i saw a brochure with several kinds of cuts - princess cut, square cut, etc... do you have a brochure on what i can choose for my boy?" good times…

kids are awesome. my boy is 2, and we're talking kid #2.
