Hehe, look at Lucas, he looks drunk or something!

He sure knows how to run them, it'll be interesting to see whether people pick up the old starwars sprit in a TV series - I'd imagine it would be pretty hard to do, what with episodes having to continue onto the next, and only seeing fractions of the story at a time...but dunno...

Are any of you guys starwar'eeers?

i won't be watching this. he failed at episodes 1-3 so this is a last attempt to ~bring back the magic~ that isn't going to happen.

Here ia one thing to brighten up your gloomy Star Wars day: King George can not possibly write all and direct all of the episodes. This, of course, means that some of them might be good!

Well, I'm a huge star wars fan. I guess if we're not going to get to see any more movies maybe a TV series would be okay. I know I'd watch it, so I'm in.

As big of a fan of the series that I may be, I have to say that I am beginning to tire of the universe in which its set. I'd love to see something set either pre-Episode 1 or post-Episode 6. Otherwise, I'd say that this particualr horse is close to beat.

The "Knights of the Old Republic" games might satisfy your pre-Episode I cravings. I found the stories very involving, and played the 2nd one all the way through twice (once on the light side, once on the dark).

I do wish there was more on the post-Episode VI universe. I heard about books that explained what happened afterward - I think the Jedi Academy game dealt with that a little - but I've never seen or read anything solid.

In the meantime, at least we have this:

The Timothy Zahn novels that take place after the movies are great, BUT th eproblem is they were written before the Clone Wars were defined in the SW canon by Lucas. The result is the past is referred to in an odd way- it's not the Clone Wars as defined in the movies.

I am supa excited for the show, but it BETTER be on a network in HD.

I'm guessing that the live action will be Fox based, while the cartoon will be on the Cartoon Network.
