Default What is proper etiquette for UC alumni section at a Football game?

A couple of days ago at the Orange bowl I had my first experience sitting with UC alumni. During my stint I was yelled at multiple times for cheering too load and standing. This confused me since I have never run into this problem at a college football game before. Granted my previous experience in college football games has been going Big Ten games, alumni section at Purdue when I went there with my father, and the students section for UC games. At both of those locations, fans were yelling and standing through large sections of the game. Thus, my question is this: For someone who will soon become an UC alumnus what is proper etiquette in the UC alumni section at a Football game?

As a side note, during the 2nd and 3rd quarter I started to feel like I was at a Bengals game. Fans were already losing hope and not caring, which further bothered me, but I digress.

I am not a UC alum (obviously) but I have ran into this problem many times, especially on road tOSU games. If you sit in the alumni section and expect to get all crazy and wild (and in UC fan's case, chant "OHHHHH OHHHH" over and over) you can forget about it. The old farts corner will have no part of this. Occasionally you will have the charismatic middle aged man who can get away with standing up and screaming "That's another [INSERT TEAM NAME HERE] first down!" expecting everyone to make the referee sign for first down, but that is as wild as it gets.

Generally, if you see any old women wearing college team sweatshirts from Steve and Barry's with a turtle neck underneath, you are in trouble.
