Thank You Nancy!
I don't really mean that of course, but since so many douche bag West Virginia fans had similar signs at the game tonight, I feel like echoing the sentiment (just for the moment...).
How friggin' great was this game! Yeah, maybe it was more West Virginia laying a big egg than it was anything UC did, but a 20+ point win is a 20+ point win. On the road no less. I'm thrilled for Mick and the 'cats.
A quick point to make on West Virginia fans: They are incredible dickheads. The anti-Mick signs I saw tonight were in very poor taste. If West Virginia/UC was a super serious rivalry, ok, but it's not really. Those people have no reason to hate Mick. Making fun of his wife's ethnicity, his height, etc, I just don't get it. But that's par for the course for those backwoods, sister-fucking, hill jacks. (Ok, so I'm stooping to their level. So be it.)
Maybe the goofball, west siders with the K-State windshirts hanging in their closets will finally wake up and stop all the Huggins worship now. Wouldn't that be something? It's probably too much to ask for unfortunately.

Do you believe in karma? That's probably pushing it, but I noticed the same shit and it pissed me off. Especially after how much I liked their fans at the football game. Got along good and had good conversation. But the signs and shit at the game tonight was sad. I'm glad we kicked them right in the nuts.
What the hell were those screen fouls early? Trying to keep the home team in the game or what?

What was up with Huggins showing up for the game dressed like your garden variety 70's street pimp anyway? A gold suit that looks like it came directly from the House of Adam in downtown Cincinnati, with matching shoes. Who's picking out his clothes? Archbishop Don "Magic" Juan?
And to think Huggins and Pittsnogle just missed each other by a couple years at WVU.

That is exactly what went through my mind right before the bitch that called mick "mike" and then corrected herself that his name is mike but everyone calls him mick and that jack-ass with her talked about huggs living in a hotel! Must be his girlfiend in the hotel with him. I mean come on, he got 3 Mill from UC I think he could rent a house or something. I was thinking about those purple suits from last year... are those still hanging in a closet? I bet he burns what he wore tonight.

You know... In Morgantown, if you have $3 mill your personal finances are probably greater than the local economy. I'm not really kidding. The hotel is probably the nicest place available. (And it's probably a Motel 6.)

Yeah, I was surprised the WVU fans were as much on the offense as they were. I'm used the Nancy-bashing here, but in another state? Was this ESPN's School Spirit Week or Douchebag Week?
Great win. The home team certainly helped out but a lot of good performance by the good guys in black.
Once again, Huggs didn't get his team ready for an intense, rivalry-like game. Just like when he was our coach.

I was thinking the same thing. I've chatted with a few WVU fans before and during the year and told them to enjoy their 20-24 win seasons and early exits in March.
All that aside, I haven't felt this good inside during a UC basketball game in a long time - probably not since they beat Duke - or that time they beat a top-10 Louisville team in the Shoe 5-6 years ago, like 103-75 or some crazy score like that. I've got such a man crush on this year's team and I'm so pumped for the future of the team under Cronin.

Another question about the WVU fans... what was up with that "bear" and "mouse" stuff? Is that terms for roles in a gay relationship or is there something else going on there?
Huggie Bear?
Mick-y Mouse?
Oh, I get it now. I guess that's what passes for "clever" in West Virginia, where education pays.

I loved the Nancy signs....this woman made a national embarassment of herself when she came here and she deserves every bit of shit she gets from here on out...she referred to any almuni prior to her tenure as worthless with her "equity" comment...so fuck her, she can rot in hell. Guess my fortune I spent there ions ago for an education wasn't worth it to her.
I agree the Mick signs were beyond childish. I mean cmon people...what did this guy EVER do to you? Have a three way with your dog and sister?
As far as the game...the announcers sucked, but the ball was good. Glad to see we didn't chuck it mentally with 6 to go.

I'm not sure that even a 3rd grade team could blow that lead last night. WVU couldn't hit the broad side of a barn.

i don't have a dog in this fight, so i say this objectively: the comment above from PD is a perfect example of someone who doesn't "get it." nancy is whom she is, but she gave you a new AD that gave you a new coach that just prepared his team to win.
it's the same mentality that reds fan had when dan o'brien was the GM and his emphasis was on the farm system. i asked him on lance's show once why it was, in his humble opinion, why reds fan didn't "get it" when it came to the grand plan. his PC answer was evidence enough for me: some people in cincy will always live 10-30 years in the past. twain was right.

I don't get what? The fact that some arrogant egotistical liberal leaning bitch stomped on peoples "worthiness" because to her the University had no "equity" before she came?
There is the difference between you and me MF...I stand on principle and believe in my principle, right wrong or indifferent in whoever's view I don't give a shit....but I sleep well at night and that is all that counts.
I don't get it...if you don't have a dog in the fight stay the hell out.

But you have to remember, PD, that's just Nancy. I guess it is ok because her name is Nancy. Or is it just because of her personality that it is ok? I don't think it is PD who doean't " get it." She called all alumni of UC worthless.
Wonder if people would have made the same remark if it had been their school.Or would they "get it" and just say ok the president of the school said it so we must just be dumb. And don't say your president would not say it. I am saying what would be your reaction if they did.
