Ranking the Bengals Arrests
Larry Brown Sports » Ranking the Cincinnati Bengals Arrests
Quote:
They’ve had so many of them I just figured it was about time to have a little fun with their arrests. Without further ado, here’s a list of the Bengals’ finest, from best to worst.
Chris Henry (June 14th, ‘06) - providing alcohol to three underaged females, but did he score?
Chris Henry (Jan. 28th, ‘06) - possession of a concealed firearm, improper exhibition of firearm, aggravated assault with firearm, that’s a lot of firearm action
A.J. Nicholson (June 3rd, ‘06) - burglary, vandalism, grant theft, *bonus points for stealing electronics from a teammate, that’s not easy
Frostee Rucker (June 21st, ‘06) - vandalism, spousal battery, just don’t beat up that blackberry
Reggie McNeal (Dec. 3rd, ‘06) - resisting arrest and drug possession, always fun to catch the cops with an elbow to the chest
Eric Steinbach (Aug. 5th, ‘06) - boating under the influence, admit it, you didn’t even know that counted
A.J. Nicholson (May 18th, ‘06) - domestic violence, he restarted the streak after they had gone four months in between arrests
Chris Henry (June 3rd, ‘06) - DUI, 0.092, I’d blow that from a sip of Manischweitz
Odell Thurman (Sept. 25th, ‘06) - drunken driving, a 0.18, but he was more sober than Chris Henry or Reggie McNeal, so it’s all good
Deltha O’Neal (Dec. 9th, ‘06) - DWI, come on a 0.10 shouldn’t even count
Matthias Askew (July 22nd, ‘06) - disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, failure to comply with police officer’s order, obstructing justice, kinda boring
Chris Henry (Dec. 15 ‘05) - weed possession, just kids being kids
Quincy Morgan (June 17, ‘07) - disorderly conduct, kind of weak, but cool that the bride and groom were arrested too
|
The Askew arrest has to be the most bizarre one IMHO

Yes, we know that the Bengals are a bunch of thugs. We get it. Move on.

Move on to what? Outside the Reds being shitty, what else is there to discuss in the world of Cincinnati Sports? Bengal Debauchery is a way of life! Accept it!

I am talking about the national focus on whole. It's trite.

What else is there to talk about at the national level? The College World Series? Eva Longoria and Tony Parker? The Bengals are national celebrities baby! It's like an auto wreck that you have to keep on watchin'.

Yeah, I would have to disagree. I am not proud of what the Bengals have done. They've replaced Pete Rose as the city's sports embarassment.

Well, I'd rather have thugs that go 12-4 over nice guys that go 4-12.

Getting to the rankings, I would switch Askew and Steinbach. Didn't Matthias get tasered? That's got to get you into the Top 5.

Yes Yes. The author of this list called that arrest "kind boring." Guess he didn't know the details.
But really, do ANY of these crimes even come close to Pacman Jones' latest shit?

Tedesco, I have to agree with you here. Can't we move on? This town is pathetic when it comes to sports talk. Yeah the Reds suck, but there are still things to talk about besides the arrests from last year. How about Homer's great outing or Griffey or trade rumors. Or how about national sports. There's never NBA talk in Cincinnati. There are plenty of good baseball stories going around. Why do we limit ourselves to talking about the Bengals year-round and harping on about arrests?

As the infamous Pat Forde article points out, we all live in a bubble here. We think small time. Unless you arrive from the outside - you're going to eat Skyline, watch the Reds/Bengals, worship "Huggs" and dream of a date with Kit Andrews. That's it and that's all.

You started this particular thread, which means you're accusing yourself of being a small time thinker?
And this Larry Brown fellow seems to have Quincy Wilson confused with Quincy Morgan. Maybe it's because Quincy Wilson was arrested in Morgantown. He gets my vote for biggest "small thinker" affiliated with this thread.
