Default Crash won best picture?

I know awards show don't meant much to most who read this board, but I can gurantee at least one of the other best picture nominees was better than Crash (I have not seen any of them). Crash was a good movie, but highly melodramatic with a neon lights MESSAGE. It's a little too obvious for my tastes.

Well at least the Academy got it right by giving 36 MAFIA an Oscar this year. Cuz you know it's hard out here for a pimp!

I wasn't really surprised much by the Oscars this year. Pretty much everyone I expected to win, did, with the exception being Capote. I thought Capote would have won Best Picture, but Crash winning makes sense, as it was the safest bet. 36 Mafia won on what I am calling the Halle Berry exception of 2002. All in all, it was another ho-hum year at the Acemedy.
