I think all the AM fans on this site are boycotting the site but anyways...

ARTIC MONKEYS will perform this weekend on Saturday Night Live. I look forward to their crazy performance, those wacky 11 year olds. People Magazine made a reference to some britt mag that ranked their latest album in the top 5 from the UK of ALL TIME. Sooo yeah, forget about the Stones, Beatles, Pink Floyd, and LZ.

They sounded really good but damn for a band trying to make a good first impression and build a U.S. following they sure did act like assholes during the 2nd song. The song was very dark too so it was a very uncomfortable performance.

The drummer is tops!

I thought they were great. They can do what they want, that's what Rock n Roll is all about. He pointed out some guy during the second song and said "That man in the crowd is yawning" or something like that. It was sweet.

I don't see how they acted out really.

Theior performance was definitely better than the Strokes last month.

Ohhh yeah I thought they played great too. The lead singer was just all pissed off and made a fuss about the man yawning. They all acted very odd.

Did anyone catch the 4 stages of Arctic Monkeys on Best Week Ever? I didn't catch it but I heard it was pretty funny/clever:

It went something like: Curiosity, Happiess, Reality, Heartbreak. These aren't exact I'm sure but they were basically poking fun at the whole bandwaggon. First you hear about them "underground" and discover them. Then you realize everyone else already knows about them and you are heartbroken.

I was lucky enough to catch this. The four stages of the Arctic Monkeys are:

1) Infatuation: You hear about them from a friend or an "insider." A source you trust. The name peaks your interest.

2) Betrayal: You get on the Internet and discover their songs just don't exist. Just a few random Mp3s and a choppy video clip of I think you'd look good on the dance floor.

3) Acceptance: The album is finally released and you can hear some of their songs. You are so happy because the songs are actually good!

4) Heartbreak: Right when you are ready to tell the world about your love for this underground/indie hot band, you discover everyone in the world already likes them and they are on SNL.
