I just wanted to shout out and say the website looks awesome, and I'm so happy that someone finally decided to dedicate a website to my favorite sporting goods store of all time, Cincinnati Sports. It may have closed for business long ago, but it can now live on forever on this fine website. Brings back fond memories of Rob Rude.

Was this the actual name of the store? I did a trademark search going back 5 years and "CINCINNATI SPORTS" wasn't issued to anyone. I was able to pick it all up.

You know OSUjp - if you really want to bring back memories, go in the store and buy yourself an Ohio State Motor Scooter or replica Krenzel Jersey.

Hmmm...I wonder if "Landen Baseball Cards" is trademarked. I always hated the guy that ran that baseball card shop, and I'd snatch it up just so he couldn't!

Where was this store located? Landen Square? I feel like I should remember this place but I don't. I don't care if they had the name - it's pretty generic -so generic it is valuable.

The name of the owner of Landen Baseball Cards was Tim(that's all I remember). He had a really cool picture of Hulk Hogan and Pete Rose together.

I remember when that kid pulled a Nolan Ryan autographed card out of Upper Deck in 1991 from that store. Tim offered the kid $1000 for it, but the kid didn't accept the offer. Too bad for the kid now, that card only books for $200.

That kid in question was none other than Aaron Martin aka "Frank". They made a big deal about it in the Western Star at the time. Also, Aaron went into the store only days later and bought a pack of Donruss which included one of their "elite" cards which were almost equally as rare as a signed Nolan Ryan card. At the time it booked for around $250.00 but I would guess they are worthless today.

I have so many funny Landen Baseball stories that I could share, it's sad. My friends and I were the sole reason that Tim bought caller ID for his phone.

Didn't Aaron have an older sister that did worked as a stripper after high school? I'd say her name, but that might not be very classy on a public forum.

Luckily for you, I am not classy. Her name was Ashley, and she was not a pleasant person.

I remember Tim. I sold him some Pete Rose stuff, and a few autographed baseball cards....
