Lance Shuts Down his Forums

Running Heated Sports Fourms can be a pain in the neck I never read those forums so I don't know what he's talking about

Guys.......after serious consideration, I'm going to shut down the forum for good.....with the exception of the EVENTS FOR A CAUSE section.
I continue to be troubled by some of the stuff that goes on in a forum that is under my name. I've learned to deal with personal attacks...heck I'm used to that......but I can't get comfortable providing cover for those that wanted to attack others, without accountability.
It just isn't worth the hassles. I cannot thank Scott in Reading enough for taking on the headache as well. He was fantastic....in fact, he's the reason the forum lasted as long as it did. And I thank those that joined and became active contributors to the forum.
I'm sorry you get caught in the middle of this. I will continue to post information for charity events in the area. Please email your info.......and remember, you can continue to direct all your comments and show suggestions to me directly at lance1530homer@fuse.net

If you can figure out a way, I encourage you to do so but the forums are closed to the public. I don't mind people attacking Lance in my forums.

I would read lance's forum now and then, and I hated it. It seemed like a good chunk of the people cared more about flame wars than actual insightful conversations. Also the attacks on there, I believe, were used by lance to show how negative some of the fan base was. There were a lot of crazy posts.

You should write Lance, and ask him if he can link to this site, since he no longer has a forum. He might just do it. Appeal to his sense of loyalty to his fan base. Give them a place to talk, Lance!

I moderate on a site called cincinnatisports.com. We are like a local version of Deadspin, and provide local content as well as a weekly podcast. Nothing too extravagant; just a link from your forum link to our link http://www.cincinnatisports.com/forums.

I thought I would suggest it. The removal of your forums have already struck a chord with some of our posters.

You are a good man. I already posted this site's URL on there and was shut down by Mr Scott In Reading Forum Master
