Default OSU recruiting class missing Miami Valley flavor

Last week, Ohio State football quarterbacks coach Nick Siciliano visited Trotwood-Madison High School to collect information about junior receiver A.J.

Default tOSU's Down Recruiting Class?

Four Top Recruits in Ohio Pass on the Buckeyes.
Quote:
Some of the fears were assuaged with a Rose Bowl victory over Oregon, but it didn’t take a month before a new problem enveloped Columbus: Not only is Ohio State’s recruiting class this year down a bit – 18th nationally, following two Top 5 classes – but the four best high school players left the State for the likes of West Virginia, Texas, LSU, and Nebraska. Three of the four players were offensive skill players.
Is this a cause of concern in Buckeye Nation or just a blip on the radar?

Miniscule blip. Especially if we land Seantrel this week, as some think we will.

A CNNSI writer recently ranked the top 10 recruiting classes of the 2000's, and had Ohio State's 2002 class ranked #2 overall..........but at the time, back in 2002, not a lot was made of the class. Our top blue-chip recruit of the class was Mike D'Andrea, the "best LB in the nation". He went on to play in what, 3 games over his entire Buckeye career?

Moral of the story: Take recruiting rankings with a grain of salt.

Doesn't Notre Dame always have a top 5-10 recruiting class?

How did that work out for them?

Heh. 2-star recruits suddenly become 4-star recruits once certain schools show interest in them. 3-star recruits become 4 or 5-star recruits. Funny how that works.
