I Went to RedsFest today down at the Duke Energy Center. It was my first one so I don't really have anything to compare it to but I'll say it was alright. I probably would have enjoyed myself more if I was 7 years old but for $10 and a $7 parking fee I got to see a few current and former Reds players up close and personal while trying to avoid getting hassled by Cincinnati Bell salespeople to sign up for Zoomtown and National City people to sign up for new credit cards.
I really enjoyed the "Kids Only" press conference with David Ross, Bronson Arroyo, Brandon Phillips and Ryan Freel. Freel is a funny dude. I don't think he was taking the event too seriously and wound up saying some pretty humerous things. When some little toddler asked the players' favorite movie, Bronson said "Scarface," Phillips said "Coming to America," Ross said "Gladiator," and Freel responded with, "Little Mermaid." Bronson played an accoustic gig later in the night and I shot some video from a cell phone... enjoy!
