Cincinnati Sports.com Mock Draft

Nothing more fun than a couple guys sitting around a table playing NFL General Manager.  That's how we spent our time during this week's podcast. Click here to listen to it now!

Here's how it went down.  Tedesco had the first pick, Franny the second, and me the third.  And then we just kept rotating.  When we got to the Bengals, we each made a pick for our home team.  Then we just filled out the rest of the first round with likely suspects.

This was live.  There was no formal clock, but I'm sure we all felt the pressure to keep this moving and not spend too time hemming and hawing since that would make bad radio.

  1. Oakland Raiders - JeMarcus Russell, QB, LSU (Tedesco)
  2. Detroit Lions - Brady Quinn, QB, Notre Dame (Franny)
  3. Cleveland Browns - Adrian Peterson, RB, Oklahoma (Woody)
  4. Tampa Bay Bucs - Gaines Adams, DE, Georgia (Tedesco)
  5. Arizona Cardinals - Joe Thomas, OT, Wisconsin (Franny)
  6. Washington Redskins - Calvin Johnson, WR, Georgia Tech (Woody)
  7. Minnesota Vikings - Ted Ginn, Jr, WR, OSU (Tedesco)
  8. Atlanta Falcons - Jamaal Anderson, DE, Arkansas (Franny)
  9. Miami Dolphins - Levi Brown, OT, PSU (Woody)
  10. Houston Texans - Amobi Okoye, DT, Louisville (Tedesco)
  11. San Francisco 49ers - Dwayne Jarrett, WR, USC (Franny)
  12. Buffalo Bills - Leon Hall, CB, Michigan (Woody)
  13. St. Louis Rams - Darrelle Revis, CB, Pitt (Tedesco)
  14. Carolina Panthers - Greg Olsen, TE, Miami (Franny)
  15. Pittsburgh Steelers - Lawrence Timmons, LB, LSU (Woody)
  16. Green Bay Packers - Marshawn Lynch, RB, Cal (Tedesco)
  17. Jacksonville Jaguars - Reggien Nelson, S, Florida (Franny)
  18. Cincinnati Bengals - Patrick Willis, LB, Ole Miss, (Woody) Paul Puslusny, PSU, (Tedesco) Adam Carriker, DE/LB, Nebraska (Franny)
  19. Tennessee Titans - Robert Meachem, WR, Tennessee
  20. New York Giants - Chris Houston, CB, Arkansas
  21. Denver Broncos - Jarvis Moss, DE, Florida
  22. Dallas Cowboys - Dwayne Bowe, WR, LSU
  23. Kansas City Chiefs - Sidney Rice, WR, South Carolina
  24. New England Patriots - Michael Griffen, S, Texas
  25. New York Jets - Aaron Ross, CB, Texas
  26. Philadelphia Eagles - Jon Beason, LB, Miami
  27. New Orleans Saints - Quinn Pitcock, DT, tOSU
  28. New England Patriots - Anthony Spencer, DE, Purdue
  29. Baltimore Ravens - Justin Blalock, OT, Texas
  30. San Diego Chargers - Brandon Meriweather, S, Miami
  31. Chicago Bears - Tank Tyler, DT, NC State
  32. Indianapolis Colts - Justin Harrell, DT, Tennessee

And there it is.  As you can tell, in the throes of drafting, a few players were overlooked.  I've got to come up with a better system or a new cheat sheet to make sure that players like LaRon Landry and Alan Branch don't end up completely lost simply because they dropped a little lower than expected.  My bad.  But it's all part of the learning process.  Maybe next year's will be better.
